Calling all job seekers, volunteers, college students and recent grads!

  • Are you looking for an opportunity to build up your resume and/or make new connections?
  • Want to gain formal experience using your own equipment as a conference photographer?
  • Are you available to volunteer at the Atlantica Oak Island Inn (Western Shore) May 28-30th?

About this Opportunity:
The Nova Scotia Career Development Association is calling for volunteers for its 16th annual professional development conference. We are on the hunt for people like you who have a variety of talents wanting to put them to work. We are in need of organized, independent thinking and take-initiative people to help with registration and behind the scenes activities. We are also looking for a couple skilled photographers at various times to capture candid shots of workshops, speakers, delegates, trade show, and social events. Think you've got what it takes to be a stellar addition to the conference this year?

Here's what you can expect:
This is a two and a half day commitment and an orientation will be given as to the expectations of your post by one of the members of the NSCDA conference planning committee. There will be a few different volunteer opportunities to sign up for but the amount of volunteer spaces will be limited. Contact us for more details about volunteer duties...

Volunteer Appreciation:
In addition to our sincere thanks, we will provide lunch, networking opportunities, and a personalized letter of reference recognizing your dedication and talents at our conference; a valuable portfolio item.If interested, contact Amelia Bishop by email at This email address is being protected from spambots.
